Principle

The liquid enters the meshing space volume under the pressure difference. When the volume reaches its maximum and a sealing chamber is formed, the liquid continuously moves axially in each sealing chamber until it is discharged from one end of the chamber. At this point, the meshing space volume of the screw at one end of the discharge chamber gradually decreases, and the liquid is discharged. The working principle of a three screw pump is similar to that of a gear pump, except that the screw replaces the gear in structure.

Three screw pumps have two structures: single suction and double suction, but single screw pumps only have single suction. Three screw pumps must be equipped with safety valves (single screw pumps do not need to be equipped) to prevent damage to the pump or prime mover due to reasons such as blocked discharge pipes causing the pump's outlet pressure to exceed the allowable value.

Structure

A three screw pump of RockySea uses the rotation of the screw to suction and discharge liquid. The middle screw is an active screw, driven by the prime mover to rotate, and the screws on both sides are driven screws that rotate in the opposite direction with the active screw. The threads of the main and driven screws are both double headed threads.

In a three screw waste pump, due to the meshing of the spiral grooves on the main screw and the driven screw, as well as their coordination with the inner surface of the three holes in the liner, several stages of dynamic sealing chambers are formed between the inlet and outlet of the pump. These dynamic sealing chambers will continuously move the liquid axially from the pump inlet to the pump outlet, and gradually increase the pressure of the transported liquid. Thus forming a continuous, stable, and axially moving pressure liquid.

Application
