Description

A single screw pump,which is also called as helical rotor pump or mono pump, belongs to a rotary displacement pump, which relies on the meshing of the screw and liner in the suction and discharge chambers to produce volume changes to transport liquids.

It is a closed screw pump with internal meshing, mainly composed of a liner (stator) with a double head spiral cavity and a single head spiral screw (rotor) that meshes with it in the stator cavity. When the input shaft drives the rotor to rotate around the center of the stator through a universal joint, the stator rotor continuously meshes to form a sealing chamber. These sealing chambers move uniformly in the axial direction without changing their volume, transporting the conveying medium from the suction end through the stator rotor to the press out end. The medium in the suction sealed chamber flows through the stator without being stirred or damaged.

Single screw pumps can be divided into integral stainless steel single screw pumps and shaft stainless steel single screw pumps according to their materials.

Compared with piston pumps, centrifugal pumps, vane pumps, and gear pumps, single screw pumps have many advantages due to their structure and working characteristics:

1. Can transport media with high solid content;
2. The flow rate is directly proportional to the pump speed, thus having good variable adjustability;
3. A multi-purpose pump can transport media with different viscosities;
4. The flow rate is uniform and the pressure is stable, especially at low speeds;
5. The installation position of the pump can be tilted arbitrarily;
6. Small size, light weight, low noise, simple structure, and convenient maintenance.
7. Suitable for transporting sensitive items and items susceptible to damage such as centrifugal force;

Application
