Description

The liner hanger is divided into two types: mechanical and hydraulic. The operation method of a mechanical liner hanger is generally to lift and lower or rotate the hanger to hang the liner on the outer sleeve. Its characteristics are simple operation and time-saving, but its structure requires high underground conditions. The hydraulic liner hanger relies on the action of hydraulic pressure to suspend the liner on the upper casing. Its characteristics are wide applicability, not limited by wellbore inclination and liner length, but its operation is complex and time-consuming. The liner hanger with a single operation method, in case of unexpected inability or failure to be installed during construction, must be lifted out of the entire well, replaced with the liner hanger, and then lowered into the bottom of the well for construction. Especially in complex situations such as inclined wells, horizontal wells, large displacement horizontal wells, and multi bottom branch wells, the operation of lifting out the pipe column from the well is complex and time-consuming.

Principle

The expandable liner hanger is suitable for deep wells and large displacement horizontal wells, and its structure is: the outer wall of the lower end of the feed joint is connected to the left-hand thread of the expansion pipe; Connect the inner wall of the lower end of the joint to the center pipe thread. The lower end of the central tube is fixed with a sealant plug using shear nails. The inner diameter of the sealant plug is 8-20 millimeters smaller than the inner diameter of the central tube. The expansion plug is located in the annular space between the central pipe and the expansion pipe; The rubber plug catheter is connected to the lower end of the expansion tube; The lower end of the rubber plug conduit is threaded and connected to the lower connecting pipe; The blocking ring is placed on the internal shoulder of the lower connecting pipe. The diameter of the center hole at the bottom of the blocking ring is smaller than the outer diameter of the lower end of the sealant plug. At least two locking spring mechanisms are uniformly distributed and fixed on the outer wall of the lower end of the connecting pipe.

The effect is to use hydraulic or mechanical methods to firmly suspend the liner string on the inner wall of the downhole casing. Improve the success rate of liner cementing, ensure downhole safety, and improve cementing quality.
